I dunno. I'm awaiting this ibuprofen therapy to fail so I can go talk to an ortho. Hopefully then I'll get answers.

Yesterday I put floaties on my legs so I could swim without kicking. I'm not out of options, obviously, but stamina training invariably is going to involve running and jump rope and various other things which necessitate operational knees.

Hey man, take it one step at a time (no pun intended?). Even if you must eschew running for a while while the knee situation is explored and addressed, don't let that derail you from your stamina training. Play this out. I want to see your formidable intellect applied pugilistically, in the act of boxing some chump's ears. Obviously, if pressing onwards means gimping yourself for life, well then acquiescence is sensible and respectable. But I'm keeping the faith, and heartily rooting for your success.
